PrestaShop — essential steps

Native module for PrestaShop 1.7.6 – 9.x, multistore included. ~10 minutes. The store connects with one button from the module itself: no tokens to copy, no URLs to edit.

PrestaShop back office with the Findalo module open: ① the Modules menu and ② the Connect with findalo button
① Modules → Module Manager → Findalo → Configure · ② Connect with findalo button (reads “Reconnect with findalo” if the store was already connected).
  1. 1 · Install the module

    Go to your customer panel (or sign up for free) → Integration → PrestaShop tab → Download ZIP: always the latest published version. In your back office: Modules → Module Manager → Upload a module, drop the ZIP and click Install.

  2. 2 · Establish the connection

    In Modules → Module Manager (①) find Findalo and click Configure. On the Configuration tab click Connect with findalo (②). panel.findalo.io opens: sign in with your Findalo account (or create it right there), pick the search engine and click Connect this store. You come back to the module already connected: the credential travels server to server — you never see or copy it.

  3. 3 · Check that everything arrives

    The module shows ✓ Connected · your-search-engine. The catalog is pushed on its own: in your panel → Sync your products show up within minutes and, from then on, every product, price or stock change arrives automatically. To force a push: the module's Status tab → Mark as pending (force next rebuild), or Sync now in the panel. Reload your storefront and click the magnifier: the search opens with your products.

If you can't use the button

If the panel window doesn't open or the way back to the module breaks (pop-up blocker, redirect broken by the hosting), connect by hand: in your panel → Integration → PrestaShop tab copy the Search engine ID and the Sync token; in the module expand Connection not working? Connect manually, paste both values and click Save manual connection. The result is the same as with the button.

WooCommerce — essential steps

Official WordPress plugin for WooCommerce. ~10 minutes. WPML and Polylang are detected automatically; compatible with WP Rocket and LiteSpeed Cache. Live demo: woocommerce.findalo.io/shop.

WordPress admin with the Findalo plugin open: ① the WooCommerce → Findalo menu and ② the Connect with Findalo button
① WooCommerce → Findalo · ② Connect with Findalo button (reads “Reconnect with Findalo” if the store was already connected).
  1. 1 · Install the plugin

    In your WordPress: Plugins → Add New, search for “Findalo”, click Install Now and then Activate. You can also upload the ZIP (Upload Plugin) downloaded from your panel (Integration → WooCommerce tab) or from WordPress.org. A short wizard opens on activation; you don't need to finish it: the connection in step 2 sets everything up. No account yet? Sign up for free — or create it during the connection.

  2. 2 · Establish the connection

    In the side menu, WooCommerce → Findalo (①), General tab, Connection card: click Connect with Findalo (②). panel.findalo.io opens: sign in with your Findalo account (or create it right there), pick the search engine and click Connect this store. You come back to the plugin already connected; you never see or copy tokens.

  3. 3 · Check that everything arrives

    The Connection card shows ✓ Connected · your-search-engine and a Verify connection button to check it anytime. The plugin publishes the catalog on its own and keeps it current with every product, price or stock change; in your panel → Sync your products show up within minutes. To force a push: the plugin's Status tab → Mark as pending (force next rebuild), or Sync now in the panel. Open your store and click the magnifier.

If you can't use the button

If the panel window doesn't open or the way back to the plugin breaks (pop-up blocker, redirect broken by the hosting), connect by hand: in your panel → Integration → WooCommerce tab copy the Search engine ID and the Sync token; in the plugin expand Connection not working? Connect manually, paste both values and click Save manual connection. The result is the same as with the button.

Shopify — essential steps

Public Shopify app. ~5 minutes. Nothing to install on a server, no tokens, no code: you connect the store from your Findalo panel in one click.

  1. 1 · Connect your store

    Go to your customer panel (or sign up for free) → Integration → Shopify tab. Type your store domain (your-store.myshopify.com) and click Connect with Shopify.

  2. 2 · Authorize the app in Shopify

    Your store admin opens and Shopify shows the permissions the app asks for (catalog and inventory, purchase events for analytics, and store pages for the assistant): confirm with Install. You land back in your panel with the store connected, and the catalog syncs on its own through the Shopify API. From then on you also have Findalo under Apps → Findalo, inside your Shopify admin and already signed in.

  3. 3 · Enable the search in your theme

    Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds (the panel's Open theme editor button takes you straight there), enable Findalo and save. Click your store's magnifier: the search opens with your products. Product, price and stock changes arrive on their own; to force a sync: panel → Sync → Sync now.

If something doesn't add up

The app uses neither tokens nor connection codes. If the search doesn't show up on your store, check that the Findalo app embed is enabled in the theme and that the app is still installed under Apps. Uninstalling the app disconnects the store automatically.

Magento — essential steps

Native module for Magento 2.4 and Adobe Commerce, published on the Adobe Commerce Marketplace. ~10 minutes. PHP 8.2 – 8.5. Compatible with Hyvä and headless storefronts.

Magento admin with the Findalo module open: ① the Findalo menu and ② the Connect with findalo button
① Findalo → Configuration menu · ② Connect with findalo button (reads “Reconnect with findalo” if the store was already connected).
  1. 1 · Install the module

    From the Adobe Commerce Marketplace, with Composer (your repo.magento.com keys are in your Adobe account):

    composer require findalo/magento-search
    bin/magento module:enable Findalo_Search
    bin/magento setup:upgrade
    bin/magento cache:flush

    In production add bin/magento setup:di:compile and bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy if your pipeline requires them. Without Composer: download the ZIP from your panel (Integration → Magento tab) and unzip it into app/code/Findalo/Search — one of the two routes, never both at once.

  2. 2 · Establish the connection

    In the Magento admin, side menu Findalo → Configuration (①).

    Next to the button you'll see ✓ Connected · your-search-engine. The module pushes the catalog on its own (in multi-store, each store view separately) and keeps it current; in your panel → Sync your products show up within minutes. To force a push: Status tab → Mark as pending (force next rebuild), or Sync now in the panel. If the widget doesn't show on your store, flush caches: bin/magento cache:flush.

If you can't use the button

If the panel window doesn't open or the way back to the module breaks (pop-up blocker, redirect broken by the hosting), connect by hand: in your panel → Integration → Magento tab copy the Search engine ID and the Sync token; in the module expand Connection not working? Connect manually, paste both values into their fields and click Save. The result is the same as with the button.

Shopware — essential steps

Native Shopware app (no PHP) for 6.6 and 6.7. ~10 minutes. The store is linked to your Findalo account from the admin itself with an emailed code: no tokens.

Shopware admin with the Findalo app open: ① Extensions → Findalo and ② your account email with the Send code button
① Extensions → Findalo · ② your email and Enviar código (send code; the 6-digit code arrives by email).
  1. 1 · Install the app

    Go to your customer panel (or sign up for free) → Integration → Shopware tab → Download ZIP. In your Shopware admin: Extensions → My extensions → Upload extension, install and activate, accepting the permissions (read access to catalog and configuration). Via CLI:

    bin/console app:install --activate FindaloSearch
    bin/console cache:clear

    On activation the app registers with Findalo automatically. Requirement: the shop must be reachable over HTTPS from the internet (Findalo reads the catalog through the Admin API).

  2. 2 · Link the shop to your account

    Open Extensions → Findalo. Enter the email of your Findalo account and click Enviar código (send code); type the 6-digit code you receive and click Verificar y vincular (verify and link). In the channel table, assign each Storefront sales channel to a search engine of your account (Buscador column): only the assigned channel is connected and indexed. Need another search engine? Create it in the panel and click ↻ Refrescar (refresh) in the app.

  3. 3 · Check that everything arrives

    You'll see Conectado a Findalo (connected) and, per channel, products and last sync. The catalog syncs through the Admin API and changes arrive on their own; Re-sincronizar forces a push and Gestionar buscadores ↗ opens your panel. The widget is injected into the Storefront automatically: reload your shop and click the magnifier.

If the code doesn't arrive or something doesn't add up

Check your spam folder and that the address is the one of your Findalo account; request another code with Enviar código. Desconectar pauses the search engines without deleting anything: you reconnect with one click, no reinstall. If your Shopware doesn't allow uploading extensions from the admin, use the CLI command from step 1.

Detailed documentation with cURL examples and SDKs coming soon. Need something specific now? Write to us.

Recommendations (Pro+ plan)

Suggested product blocks on product pages, cart and homepage — without the shopper making any search. The engine aggregates your view/add-to-cart events with 30-day decay and materialises three indices: co-visited, co-added-to-cart and bestsellers.

Auto-inject (PrestaShop)

The module already includes the displayFooterProduct, displayShoppingCartFooter and displayHome hooks. Configure the back office and activate the slots — zero code.

Custom integration (other platforms)

// On the product page:
findalo.reco({
  context: 'similar',
  productId: '123',
  target: '#findalo-similar-slot',
  title: 'You might also like',
});

// When the product page loads:
findalo.trackView('123');

// When adding to cart:
findalo.trackAddToCart('123');

// Recently viewed (client-side, no backend traffic):
findalo.recentlyViewed();  // → ['123', '456', ...]

Endpoint

GET /api/<search-engine>/recommend?context=similar|fbt|bestsellers&product_id=<id>&limit=8 · plan ≥ Pro or returns 402.
